The City of Lights
My brother went to Paris a few months ago and took these beautiful pictures. I wish I could go but it's probably not going to happen in the foreseeable future so for now I'm going to enjoy the city through his eyes! :-)
Of course I put the food one first!
This is Laduree (you must click on this store's site, it's so beautiful). Yummy and gorgeous!
No, but I really, really want to go. We're thinking that we'll venture back to Europe for my 40th bday - in 4.5 years, and either visit there, or Greece...would be a tough choice. We've been all over southern france and just love it.
And of course, your brother's photos are amazing! This is going to be one of the posts I link up to when I alert my readers to your new blog format, next Monday! (is it weird that I plan ahead like that?!)
I have only been once! And it was right after college so I could only afford to be there a couple days. I wasn't expecting that much - for some reason I thought it would just be like European New York. And I had been to Italy so I had already seen beautiful old cities - I guess that made me assume that I wouldn't be that impressed. Even on my shoestring budget, that couldn't have been further from the truth. I loved it and would love to go back. Especially since I'm now older and married and could probably just sit and watch the sunset over Notre Dame without being accosted by all of the odd balls roaming around. It was like that at EVERY lovely site in the evening. Being a young girl automatically made you prey.
Yes, but for less than one day, so I mostly only walked around, although I did go in Notre Dame. Anyway, I tell myself I deserve to go again to go inside the Louvre, to the top of the tower and so much more...
Anastasia, Kate, how fun it would be to go with each other? And leave our families at home? I'm having one of those days where running away, just for a little while, sounds lovely. Especially to paris, with friends!
Anastasia - I visited your blog for the first time today, and being a fellow foodie, your sweet shop pic from Paris caught my eye immediately. If it's a big shop on the Champs Elysees, I believe I've been there. Divine. (:
